The illuminations
From 1 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, the Christmas illuminations will be lighting up the town from Tuesday to Sunday from 5.30pm to 10pm. A real The magical atmosphere of Christmas in Vannes for a magical moment.
The Ferris Wheel at the Port
From 1 December to 7 January, from 10am to 11pm, discover La Grande Roue at the Port of Vannes. A magnificent view of the city awaits you! Adorned with its festive illuminations, it will dazzle you. Meet up on the harbour esplanade. Prices = children: €5 / adults: €6.
Father Christmas arrives in Vannes
Father Christmas and his elves stroll through the town centre from 16 to 24 December from 5pm to 6pm (on 23 and 24 at 4pm). On Sunday 17 December at 3.30pm, Father Christmas will disembark at the port, an event not to be missed! He will then stroll through the cobbled streets of the town centre, making a number of stops in his horse-drawn carriage. There will be plenty of entertainment and surprises in store for this eagerly-awaited event.

Le Vannes Christmas market will unfortunately not be taking place again this year. You can visit the Christmas markets near VannesAuray from 15 to 24 December 2023, Crac'h on 2 December, Rochefort-en-Terre from 1 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, and many more!
Santa's letterbox in Vannes and drawing competition
From 1 to 24 December, children will be able to drop off their wonderful list to Father Christmas in special letterboxes at Monoprix, Les Halles des Lices, Saint-Patern (Carré Blanc) and rue Hoche (Cavavin). They'll all get a reply to their letter!
Giant Bubbles in Vannes
On Wednesday 6 December 2023, between 2pm and 7pm, discover and admire an extraordinary soap bubble artist in Vannes town centre. An experience for all the family! If we can't have snow, we'll have bubbles!
Other Christmas events in Vannes from 15 December to 7 January 2023
- Place Maurice Marchais (Hôtel de Ville)
From 17 December to 7 January, from 5.30pm to 10pm, Illuminated Christmas or the City of Light for all ages, with a large LED Christmas tree in Place Maurice Marchais and a wonderful mapping display on the façade of Saint-Yves Chapel. 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January: all-night mapping. On 23, 30 December and 6 January, mapping from 8pm to 10pm.

During the shopkeepers' nocturne on 15 December until 9pm, enjoy a Christmas concert by "The Cactus Candies", a quartet of musicians and singers to entertain you.
