Breton culture
La Brittany Festival, from Friday 14 May to Sunday 24 May 2026, is a unique, festive and friendly family event that showcases Breton culture. Many of the events in the programme are free.
Le Lorient Interceltic Festival, from 31 to 9 August 2026, is the world's largest gathering of Celtic cultures.
The fêtes d'Arvor will also be bringing our beautiful city of Vannes to life from 14 to 16 August 2026, celebrating Breton culture with a host of entertainment including the election of the Queen d'Arvor and her runners-up and fireworks!
Music
Fête de la musique in Vannes on 21 June 2026. A major event awaits you in the port of Vannes.
Le Paka Festival, on 18 and 19 July 2026 in La Trinité sur Mer. Electronic music event with international DJs.
From 8 to 11 July 2026, it's the Vannes Echos Jazz in Vannes, featuring a range of styles from folk and electro to blues and Afro beat!
The Musicales du Golfe, For the 35th edition, from 1 August to 13 August 2026, stop off with internationally renowned musicians.
Sport and boating
L'Ultramarine, from 24 June to 28 June 2026, offers running races from 29 to 175km around one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the Golfe du Morbihan.
Le Auray-Vannes half-marathon on 13 September 2026 is the sporting event of the autumn. Several races and distances are available (20 km, 10 km or 5 km).
Le Vannes Marathon ranked as one of the top 10 French marathons, is a not-to-be-missed event for all those involved in running in France. It will take place on 26 and 27 September 2026.
Other events
Le La Gacilly photo festival, from 1 June to 4 October 2026, for an extraordinary exhibition in the gardens and alleyways of this small Morbihan village.
Livr'à Vannes takes place from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June 2026, for its 19th edition. It is the leading general literary fair in Brittany, with an average of 40,000 visitors.
