Vannes and the surrounding area are a wonderful place to visit. The Gulf of Morbihan is a unique place dotted with over 300 islands and islets: Ile d'Arz, Ile aux Moines, Gavrinis, Berder... Each island has its own unique character, history and atmosphere. From the majestic elegance of l'île d'Arz to the wild landscapes of l'île aux Moines, not forgetting the secret corners of l'île de Gavrinis and its mysterious megaliths, every island break is a real adventure.
The unusual landscapes change with the weather and the tides. This regional nature park has been listed as one of the "most beautiful bays in the world" since 2012.
Thousands of hectares of rocks, beaches and salt marshes are home to over 150,000 water birds. This is an exceptional site for sailing enthusiasts and keen walkers, thanks to the many coastal paths.
Alternatively, you can always admire the Sinagots, the famous red-sailed sailing boats.
